HBO isn’t TV, apparently, which implies that Television is not HBO by designation. Though that slogan works or does not work (and we could almost certainly go a number of rounds over that one), one thing that Television certainly is (at the very least nowadays) is SMART.
The standard television, I imagine distressed at being derided as an ‘idiot box’ for this long, has at last unequivocal to ‘wise up’. In brief, a smart Television can now present many of the same functions as a pc or tablet, which is great when you have people over and wish to watch ‘The Best of Failblog’ on Netflix.
In addition to housing any variety of downloadable apps that contain fully interactive versions of Netflix, FB and numerous, many others, the smart Television also permits the viewer to surf the net, quite as they might on an apple ipad.
Get this, Samsung’s new 22 inch Smart TV will still astutely learn what you like to watch and suggest similar programmes, it’ll then automatically seek through live broadcasts and make a choice of options for you. I swear I am not making this up. I mean, I constantly guessed Television could do more to pull its weight, but a TV that takes the hassle from channel browsing!? I never thought I’d see the day.
The Samsung 22-Inch smart TV can also be the only smart TV with a full catch-up service, a service which includes BBC iPlayer, ITV player, Demand 5 and 4OD, meaning that you’ll never miss out on your favourite programmes yet again (unless you, like me, usually forget to watch them after which iPlayer deletes them…The Television is smarter now, but I am still just as dim, sadly).
You can even wirelessly link connecting your smart phone and pc tablet, enabling you to view whatever’s in your little display, by transferring it to your big screen. I could go on all day with the sheer amount of cool things this Television does, but it seems odd to write about a cool product when I could, in reality, be actively using it.
Hooking an Xbox or PS3 up to the screen is pure delight, but the fun doesn’t end there; the Samsung 22 inch LED TV also features a crystal clear, full High definition 1080p widescreen, which will create an incredible cinematic experience when hooked up to the Blu Ray player and a 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound system. You’ll be the envy of the neighbourhood. Unless they own a racing car, that is.
Oh yeah, it has built-in games. Did I reveal that?
